Autumn list – turning into the woman I want to be

We are already one week into September, and I’m getting excited to get into full autumn mode. The past week has been so lovely with lots of sunshine and I’ve tried to enjoy the last days of summer for this year, but now, with the rain pouring down, it feels so right to dive into the plans for autumn. I found a ‘kicking off autumn list’ at Elsa Billgren’s blog the other day and thought it could be a fun list to fill out as a way to reflect on what I want to achieve, who I want to feel and what I want to focus on these last months of 2024. I really encourage you to do the list for yourself as well – let’s make this autumn a great one!!

Farmers market day last weekend – so many vibrant colors.
Early morning in Malmö just before a morning swim.

LET’S START THE LIST!

Want to leave behind?
Overthinking. For so many years, I’ve been such an overthinker – should I do this, should I do that and so on, and I just feel so ready to leave that behind. I want to lead more with my heart rather than with my brain. Let’s see how it goes 😉

Three focus areas:
Explore my creative outlets further (blog, Instagram etc.), reconsider my career path including location and have more fun.

Things I want to do:
Extending summer as much as possible through lovely swims, outdoor dinners and social hangouts. I also want to go all in on romanticizing autumn by baking apple pie, enjoying my favorite harvest salad, going on weekend trips, having coffee outside in crisp weather, lots of self-care routines etc. I’m also thinking about a longer trip, let’s see… still in planning mode for that 😀

Things I want to fix at home:
Since I love being in the kitchen I feel it’s time to upgrade certain things. I’m especially keen on finding some new dinnerware and serving platters. Maybe I can find something on flea markets, would love to mix and match a bit.

Places where I want to hang out:
I get a lot of inspiration when I visit new places, so I would love to do that as much as possible. I don’t have much planned yet in terms of trips, but definitely something I will look into ASAP. Other than that I want to hangout at my favorite restaurants and cafés, in nature, by the sea, and of course at home.

This is what I want to radiate in terms of appearance:
Confidence and joy.

Clothes I want to wear:
Cozy knits, jeans, blazer, boots and long coats. Autumn is the best period for sure when it comes to clothes…love it!

Makeup/Hair:
Lately I’ve been pinteresting that 90s layered bob, so maybe I’ll give that a go. I want to have fresh and easy styled hair, natural makeup and glow.

On my list of things to buy:
The perfect pair of black boots (just ordered these ones, hope they are as good in reality), black handbag (been searching forever) and sunglasses. I’m all into elevating the look with accessories right now.

Key words for me as a business woman:
Believe in myself, listen inwards to what feels good and what sparks joy within me. And last but not least, leaving perfection out and focusing on ‘80% is good enough’.

To focus on:
Live life to the fullest and finding my inner voice and daring to follow it.

To do less of:
Once again, overthinking. I’m so done with it.

Stop procrastinating / dare to do:
If I go big – move to a new place, sign up to a health education I’ve been looking at for years and dare to make bold moves within my professional life.

Want to learn:
So many thing… I’m such a curious person and I love to learn, but one thing I for sure want to learn is how to finetune my health through anti-inflammatory lifestyle habits, bio-hacking etc. I also want to learn how to be more in my feminine energy – more being rather than doing. I find it so challenging, but I’m learning…

Want to cook:
Vegetables in season such as butternut squash and beets, rustic French stews, snacks with a healthy twist (absolutely love this) and much more. I get so inspired in the kitchen!!

Want to listen to:
Podcasts that boost my energy, such as Body & Soulcare with Josefin Dahlberg, Holy Crap, Dream Bigger with Siff Haider and Move with heart with Melissa Wood Tepperberg.

Want to read:
A mix of self development books and novels such as ‘The abundance project’ and ‘It starts with us’ (just read ‘It ends with us’ and I’m hooked).

Want to watch:
I’m not watching TV that often, but i definitely want to watch Emily in Paris (guilty pleasure) and all things related to home renovations.

Spend less time on:
Social media, overthinking, worrying about life.

What I need in relationships to feel good:
Presence, honesty and connection.

Relationships to focus on:
I think this fall will be a lot about focusing on the relationship with myself. Who do I want to be and what is important to me? Other than that I will put my greatest attention to nurturing the closest ones.

I want to get better at:
Being more bold, delegating, being less distracted, listening inwards, protecting my energy, being more organized with my personal belongings (I can’t tell you how often I look for my AirPods, keys etc.) and not creating a mess in the kitchen while cooking 👀

Three key words for my health:
Joy, inner peace, and focus.

What do I need to do to reach that?
Set aside time for more self-care routines, have less things on my todo list to make space for the most important things. I think I will get a new productivity planner from Head Plan or maybe I’ll try one from Intelligent change this time to keep me on track. Meditation and journaling will be key to find my inner voice in a better way.

5 things for my mental health:
Meditation, breathwork, journaling, being creative, conscious usage of social media.

5 things for my physical health:
Pilates, nutritious food, walks, sleep and having fun.

I hope you enjoyed the list and maybe got excited to do it yourself too.

Lots of love ❤
