Bucket list – a sneak peek into the list of my dreams

The other day, I was on a girls dinner and the topic around a bucket list came up. I have always loved dreaming and thinking of all the things I want to do in life, and I was therefore so surprised when not everyone had a bucket list. It triggered this thought in me to share a sneak peak into my bucket list. Even though we all are different, I do believe a bucket list to be something good to have. I think a lot of people connect a bucket list to very adventurous things, like all the travels that you want to do, sky diving, running marathons etc. But what if you are not that type of person. Could a bucket list be something for you as well? I definitely believe so. I think a bucket list should be a list of things – small and big – that sparks joy and curiosity within you. Something that is important to you, not what is important to someone else. Just recently, I attended a webinar by Ben Nemtin – a motivational speaker on the power of having a bucket list. He suggests categorizing your bucket list into 10 different life categories, and it made me review my bucket list, shuffle it around and think about having something in each category. It was a great exercise cause it really helped me to broaden my view on what a bucket list is and going beyond all those travels and adventures that may be our common way of looking at a bucket list.

Crossing off visiting Provence last year.
Crossing off going on a yoga retreat earlier this year.

With that, I thought I would share one thing in each category that I have on my current bucket list. I always love to hear what others have on their list cause – there is always something surprising and fun you learn about that person when hearing about their list. Let’s see if you learn something new about me… My bucket list contains almost 100 items at the moment and I continue to add and cross things off. Hopefully this gives you a bit of inspiration of what you could add to your own list 🚀

TRAVEL & ADVENTURE

  • My list is endless on this topic, but one of my favorites is to take a few months off from work and travel the world. Right now I’m keen to explore Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Let’s see what happens!

GIVING

  • Hold space for people through a retreat in some form.

INTELLECTUAL

  • Do an education on the topic of health and nutrition (I’m currently doing this, so excited to see what comes out of this 😀)

MATERIAL

  • Buy a dream house to escape to – I want it to be a peaceful place to go, either something in the mountains or the countryside, or why not the Mediterranean. I’m sure life will tell eventually where this place should be.

FINANCIAL

  • Create a passive income 💸

CREATIVE

  • Write a cookbook (I’ve been loving to browse through cookbooks since I was a little kid).

PROFESSIONAL

  • Become a good speaker.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Celebrate Christmas in the mountains with family.

PHYSICAL HEALTH

  • Learn to go cross country skiing (and maybe even do Vasaloppet – can’t believe I’m saying this 🙈)

MENTAL HEALTH

  • Integrate meditation into my everyday – I want it to become as natural as doing my exercise routine.

Sharing parts of my bucket list feels so scary. However, I do believe there is great power in both writing the list but also sharing it with other people. It’s a way to actively put it out in the universe. And now, I would also love to hear what you have on your bucket list – drop a comment below or write to me on Instagram. Don’t wait creating your list – start chasing your dreams already today. Let’s make it happen together 🚀

Lots of love ♥
